Volunteers Needed

Want to get involved?

Volunteers have all sorts of roles within our charity. Some help with administrations, others help with fundraising and outreach. The majority of our volunteers support work within our accommodation helping our service users with life skills such as cooking or doing activities with them, learning new skills and hobbies.

What do they say?

“I volunteer with Searchlight Scotland firstly because I want to make a positive difference in the world, and the best way to do that is to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

For me that difference looks like helping a client through an anxious moment, having fun cooking together, teaching a session on life skills, or something as simple as being there to do crafts with.

Everyone deserves another chance to put their lives on a better road, and volunteering with The Programme’s clients helps me to feel I’ve contributed a small part to seeing women rehabilitated. It is extremely rewarding.

In terms of human trafficking, I got involved so I can be part of stopping this terrible, illegal business - one beautiful rescued life at a time.”
